General Information
Students in the College may enroll in graduate courses. Graduate-level courses may be identified by number, beginning at 30000. Consult with a College adviser about taking graduate courses.
Registration
Registration is by consent of instructor only. Submit the pink College Student Registration Consent Form to the Office of the University Registrar (Admin 103) by Friday of third week. Graduate classes cannot be added online. If a graduate course also has a College number (<30000), College students must register by the College number.
Drops
Graduate courses may be dropped online or by pink slip. College students must drop graduate courses before the College deadline of Friday of third week. As a courtesy, please inform the instructor after the class is dropped.
Withdrawals
Students can withdraw from a class up to the final event, per College policy.
Grading
Individual policies are division-specific. For more information, read the course syllabus or check with the divisional Office of the Dean of Students.
Exams
Check with the instructor at the beginning of the course for examination procedures and dates.
Using Graduate Courses in the Degree Program
Graduate courses may be used in the College degree program as free electives and also in the major with prior written consent of the undergraduate program chair.
Tuition
College students pay at the College rate. Refer to the printed Time Schedules or the Office of the University Bursar for current tuition rates.
Note: Graduate courses are not indicated as such on the transcript, although each transcript has a key to understanding course identification codes. Expect that the grades awarded for graduate-level classes will be considered by admissions committees in any subsequent application to graduate/professional school.
