Tutoring and Academic Assistance

In conjunction with advice from faculty, teaching assistants, and College advisers, tutoring services make it easier for students to achieve their academic potential. Tutoring is available in core academic subjects, including mathematics, science, and writing. Tutoring is also available through certain departments, such as Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.

The Academic Skills Assessment Program is available to help students improve study and time management skills. The staff also work with students who experiencing test taking anxiety or who have a documented or undocumented learning disorder. ASAP holds workshops on procrastination, on preparing for final exams, and other topics. To make an appointment call 773-702-9800. ASAP is located at 5757 S. University Ave.

Note: A first step to receiving help is to take advantage of instructor or teaching assistant office hours. Students are also urged to bring academic difficulties they may experience to the attention of their College advisers.
